2019: Shun Destructive Criticism – Majority Leader
From Obinna Moses, Umuahia
The member representing Umuahia Central Situate Constituency and the majority leader of Abia House of Assembly, Chief Chinedum Orji has called on Abians to shun destructive criticisms while taking critical look at government in power.
The majority leader gave the charge in Umuahia, in an interview with newsmen shortly after an interactive session with his constituents.
Chief Orji who underscored the need to support those in power, noted that though criticisms are one of the ingredients of democracy, they do not have to be destructive.
On why people are shying away from obtaining their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), he blamed it on apathy, saying that people have lost confidence in their representatives due to their inability to deliver on their electioneering promises. He, therefore, emphasized the need to rekindle the interest for the good of democracy.
