Again, Fulani Herdsmen Kill Three Farmers In Benue Community

Armed Fulani herdsmen on Sunday attacked farmers in  two communities of Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.


The armed herdsmen numbering about five (5) invaded Tse Ikyôr in Saghev, where they shot and killed Mr. Aondofa Ubee, who was working on his yam farm. The Herdsmen, who were without cattle later moved to Goh village where they also chased and shot Mr.

Donatus Iorhemen and  Udufu Kumom in their farms in Tse Anyammile, leaving them with varying degrees of gunshot injuries. 


Information Officer of the local government, Mr. Damian Attah, who confirmed the incident said the injured victims  are currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Naka, whilst the recovered body of late Mr. Aondofa Ubee has been deposited at the mortuary at same hospital in Naka, Gwer West LGA.


Meanwhile, the Caretaker Chairman and Chief Security Officer of the Local Government Hon. Francis Ayagah has reported the matter to security operatives for necessary action and  further appealed to the people to remain calm and law abiding as government will do everything humanly possible to arrest the culprits.
