The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, Mr. Labaran Maku has challenged those seeking elective offices in the forthcoming elections in the state to be issue-based in their electioneering than resorting to criticism that are unfounded and baseless about his person.
Mr. Maku who was speaking to a group of Mada people in Ancho-Ward of Akwanga who erected a bill board in support of his candidature in APGA said, his critics are not only wasting their time and efforts to discredit his candidature, but are politically lagging behind, run out of ideas to convince the people of their ability to provide them services.
He said, he was not surprised that politicians from other political parties in the state have now centered their criticism on him in fear of his record of achievements and state-wide-acceptability of his candidature in the coming governorship election.
The APGA guber candidate however challenged other opposition parties to rather speak-up against the evil been the perpetrated to the masses by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state.
He expressed dismay that, inspite the many challenges bedeviling the states, which are left unattended to by the APC government, the supposed oppositions have chosen to rain attacks on him, saying that those are signs of victory for APGA and his candidature in the coming election.
He said, if only his critics will speak-up to challenge the injustices, maltreatment and denials of right and privileges of workers as been done on him, it would make the APC government to seat up to its responsibility of protecting lives and properties, as well as providing social services to the people.
“There are issues of killings going on in our communities, farmers not able to go to farms in rural areas, non payment of salary arears, hardship and poverty confronting people daily, and the systematic siphoning of public funds by the APC government and no one is able to speak on those issues, but instead, they have reduced their campaigns attacking me, spreading false information that are not true”, he explained.
