The Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has promised to complete all abandoned Federal Government Projects in Kogi state if elected as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come February presidential election.
Atiku made the promise while addressing the unprecedented crowd that gathered at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja for his rally in continuation of his campaign tour across the country.
Notable of the projects to be completed, according to the presidential hopeful, include the Multi billion Naira Ajaokuta Steel Company and River Ports in Lokoja and Idah.
The Presidential Candidate recalled that the Ajaokuta Steel Complex and the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja as well as many other projects in Kogi were legacies of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He also gave an assurance that he will address the alarming unemployment situation in Nigeria and convert the abundant natural resources in Kogi to execute projects that will be beneficial to all citizens.

Atiku also promised to correct the mistakes of PDP when it ruled the country for sixteen years.
He condemned the unlawful detention of Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West at the Natural Assembly and called for his immediate release by the police.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki who also spoke at the rally said that Atiku is the only candidate capable of bailing Nigerians out of the prevailing poverty, high level of insecurity and hunger.
The Chairman Atiku Campaign Council, Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and the Director General of the Council, Clarence Olafemi in their separate speeches vowed that Kogi must deliver to Atiku in view of his track records, integrity and experience in governance.
