Young business mogul, Igho Charles Sanomi II is the Founder and Chairman of Taleveras Group, an international energy and power conglomerate. His vast business empire spans diverse sectors such as construction, telecommunications, shipping, aviation and real estate where he is either chairman or co-chairman of very successful companies in those sectors.
Mr Sanomi has been instrumental in the speedy growth and expansion of Taleveras whose trading items include fuel oil, jet fuel, gasoline, condensates and liquefied petroleum gas. Taleveras is also involved in oil exploration and recovery activities such as the acquisition of production sharing contracts (PSCs) for three offshore oil blocks in Ivory Coast. He has also acquired rights over two oil blocks in Nigeria.
In the power sector, Taleveras Group also partnered the Federal Capital Development Authority to construct electricity substations. The company also handling the construction of some substations in the Niger Delta region under the National Integrated Power Project. His previous projects include the construction of 185MW power station and distribution substation and another 200MW capacity substation which construction is still in progress.
Taleveras also led the consortium that acquired majority stake in the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution company, where it hopes to handle the distribution of about 2,000MW of power to Port Harcourt and other parts of Rivers state.
Mr. Sanomi places premium on humanitarian activities and corporate social responsibility in the course of doing his businesses.
His charity organization- Dickens Sanomi Foundation recently took responsibility for the six-year old Boko Haram victim, Alih Ahmadu, who sustained a spinal cord injury. Taleveras worked with an NGO, Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care ((GIPLC) through his Foundation to sponsor the surgery in Dubai.
The young Ali was victim of invading Boko Haram terrorists with motorcycle in Chibok village, Borno State in 2013. Since then he was on wheel chair until the Dickens Sanomi Foundation sponsored the corrective surgery in Dubai. Alih has since returned to Nigeria to meet his appreciative parents. In addition to the treatment, the Foundation has offered scholarship for Alih’s education up to University level.
Its evident that Sanomi, a scion of a strong Catholic family from Delta State is a perfect blend of business acumen and philanthropic spirit. His disposition towards humanity is exemplary to say the obvious.
