The son of the current Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulraman Danbazau (rtd), Shamsudeen Danbazau, has picked the nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a bid to represent the people of Takai/Sumaila in the House of Representatives in 2019, DAILY ASSET has learnt.
It was gathered that the younger Danbazau, who is currently a Councillor in Kano State picked his nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s secretariat on Wednesday in company of his supporters and loyalists.
A source close to the politician disclosed that the decision to run for the seat was taken a longtime ago as a result of the yearning of the people for fresh representation and that Shamsudeen has been enjoying the goodwill and affection of his political axis because of his countenance and philanthropy.
Investigation by DAILY ASSET further revealed that the budding politician has been making political overtures and outreach to senior partymen and stakeholders within and outside the state.
It was also gathered that Shamsudeen enjoys the support and goodwill of various politicians of Kano state extraction, including Kawu Sumaila, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on House of Representatives Matters as well as a certain Senator from the state.
Speaking to DAILY ASSET on the development, one Abubakar Kachako, disclosed that Shamsudeen Danbazau has undertaken wide consultation before arriving at this decision and that the response from the bottom to the top has been positive and encouraging.
