The head of economic division of Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the French Development Agency, Gael Giraud has said the organisation would strengthen cooperation with Tunisia in the domain of renewable energy sources and transition.
Giraud said during his visit to the country on Friday that AFD would collaborate with Tunisia on integration of the economy, climate and environmental change.
He said AFD would support companies for them to enter African markets because they were regarded as most important current markets.
The French official, at the end of talks with Zied Ladhari, the Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International cooperation, said AFD wanted to establish strategic partnership framework with Tunisia.
He added the agency would take into consideration its future priorities, in line with its vision for development.
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls announced recently that France had released 1 billion Euros as financial aid to Tunisia, covering four years (2017 to 2020) through AFD.
