Governor of Taraba State, Darius Dickson Ishaku, has reiterate his administration commitment towards tackling health challenges through adequate provision of health facilities in the rural and urban centres. Governor Ishaku, who was conducted round the various units and sections by the Principle Medical Officer of the Hospital, Ande Timothy, expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of the project. Ishaku said his administration would not leave any stone unturned towards providing quality and accessible health care services in the state.
He maintained that similar project has already commenced in Gembu General Hospital after which Bambur General Hospital in Karim-Lamido would also be renovated. The Governor charged the staff and entire people of Taraba to imbibe the spirit of good maintenance culture with a view to complimenting government’s effort in repositioning the health sector which remain one of the cardinal point of his administration.
Earlier Governor Ishaku on arrival, paid homage to the Aku-Uka, Doctor Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi in his palace to intimate him on the development. The Monarch changedthe government of Taraba to inculcate the habit of proper record keeping which he said remains a necessity in all a administration matters. Aku-Uka said the Hospital which was built in 1960 is now wearing a face lifts as every unit and section has been revamped and is expected to be inaugurated. The Governor was accompanied by Commissioners, Traditional title holders, Special Adviser and government functionaries.
