Following Tuesday’s siege to the residences of Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremade, President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday met with Inspector-general of police, Ibrahim Idris, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Inspector-general also met with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.
After the meetings, which lasted several hours, Idris declined comments from State House correspondents who sought to know the outcome of the meeting
It would be recalled that the police had on Monday, summoned Senate Saraki to report to its division in Guzape area of Abuja in connection with the bank robbery in Offa, Kwara State.
The suspects, according to the police, fingered Saraki as one of their sponsors, an allegation the Senate President has denied.
