IGP orders 24 hour surveillance, deploys Police Mobile force to Kwara , Taraba states

Following a deadly armed robbery attacks involving multiple banks in Offa, Kwara State, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has deployed Police Mobile Force to the state in order to beef up security against repeated attacks.
Police Mobile Force have also been deployed to Donga and Bali local government areas of Taraba state in response to killings that led to loss of lives and properties.
In a press release by the Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, which was made available to DAILY ASSET in Abuja, Sunday, it said, the IGP was concerned with Offa Bank robbery and Taraba attacks that led to loss of huge sums of money as well as loss of innocent lives.
The statement also pointed that Commissioners of Police have been placed on red alert nationwide to direct their personnel for a 24-hour intelligence and crime prevention patrol. “IGP places Commissioners of Police and personnel nationwide on red alert and directs 24 hour intelligence and crime preventiom”, the statement said.
It further said, arrests have been made in those two states, following a combined effort of the IGP’s high powered investigation team with the State Criminal Investigation departments, adding that those arrested would be arraigned in court as soon as possible.
