It’s been revealed that Kate Middleton broke down in tears during her daughter, Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting in preparation for Meghan Markle’s wedding, and it all had to do with Meghan’s strict demands.
Royal sources revealed that Kate, who had just welcomed baby Louis at the time, ended up weeping following a “stressful” dress fitting just weeks before Meghan married Prince Harry.
Meghan, 37, is understood to have insisted on “the very best” for her wedding day, but the fitting did not go according to her demands. Royal sources said the pressure of the “stressful” fitting became too much for Kate Middleton, 36, and she was left shaken and in tears.
An insider told the Daily Telegraph: :Kate had only just given birth to her third child, Prince Louis, and was feeling quite emotional.”
Royal aides did not deny the incident had taken place, amid claims that the duchesses are “very different people”.
The duchesses are understood to have put the incident behind them now but there are still rumours that both Duchesses don’t get along because of their different personalities.
Sources have also claimed, according to The Sun UK, that Meghan has at times struggled to fit into royal circles. The sources added that she regularly “bombarded” staff with early morning calls and emails.
Meghan’s Personal Assistant Melissa Touabti, 39, has quit just six months after the wedding. Melissa refused to comment on the reason for her departure.
A book by royal commentator, Robert Jobson, also revealed that Prince Harry became petulant with royal staff in the run up to his May wedding. He is said to have told courtiers in a raised voice: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.:
The Sun UK also revealed earlier this month that the Queen was forced to intervene after Meghan upset royal aides over her demands to wear an emerald tiara for the wedding. Meghan was told she had to wear another picked by the monarch but she was adamant.
The row escalated to such a degree that Queen Elizabeth had to step in with a firm word to her grandson, Prince Harry.
