Katsina loses lawmaker

Senator Bukar Mustapha (APC) representing Katsina North Senatorial district is dead.

He died at the age of 63 in Abuja after a brief illness on Wednesday. The late lawmaker was Chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market and has not been regular at plenaries in the last few months.

Born on December 31, 1954 in Daura, Bukar an Engineer by training was a first timer at the Senate.

Sources close to the late lawmaker told DAILY ASSET that he has been ill, but declined to disclose the kind of ailment as at the time of this report.

Bukar’s death makes it the second in less than a month that Senators were losing their colleague.

Senator Ali Wakili representing Bauchi South Senatorial district and Chairman, Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation died in less than a month ago.
