For the Chairman of Abuja chapter of the Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN, Rev Dr Jonah Samson. this year’s pilgrimage to Israel will be one he will cherish for a long time .
He told DAILY ASSET shortly after visiting the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem that his experience at this year’s event was quite fulfilling and awesome.
He said he will remain grateful to God for bringing to reality to birth of the Saviour which took place more than 2,000 years ago, and it was indeed quite a great experience that he could be counted among those that saw the very place Jesus Christ was born.
Rev Samson said the world also should give credit to St. Joseph, the husband of Mary for his role in the sustenance of the marriage to Mary which came under threat as a result of Mary’s pregnancy until the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream in the night.
The CAN Chairman called on Nigerians to use the period of Christmas to pray for a rebirth of the country, and for a better Nigeria where the fear of God and love for fellow beings will reign.
