Sanusi II: Return of the Camel-Riding Emir

Kano city has an old cutural heritage which among other things is the sallah horse festival which attracts visitors from all over the world twice a year during the Eid fitr and Eid al Adha Muslim festivities.

This year, the much colourful horse riding events were the hawan Daushe and hawan Nassarawa which traditionally were a procession of horse riding events inside the old city in the case of Daushe and a royal homage to the government house in the case of hawan Nassarawa.
