No respite yet for the abducted students and staff of Government Science Collage Kagara  in Niger State as their abductors have rejected the N2.7million ransom offered by desperate parents of the 27 students.

In an audio record of negotiation between the leader of the bandits and an unidentified mediator Bandits, it was gathered that the abductors blatantly turned down the offer of N100, 000 per child offered by the grieving parents.

In the Hausa audio record currently in circulation in the state, the bandits however did not say how much ransom they will collect for the release of the school children kidnapped six days ago.

Leader of the bandits, who spoke in the audio tape, told the mediator that they were rejecting the offer because only half of the money that will get to them, saying that their informants will take almost 50% out of it.

The bandits said their informants are monitoring all the events in the town, remanding him that there can be no successful operation without an insider.

They however urged the people to hasting the negotiation for the release of the school children because they (Bandits) are running out of food, warning that any of them that eventually die out of starvation will be buried in the bush.

They nevertheless vowed that there will be no peace in the entire Kagara, except the government disband vigilante group in the area, pointing out that there is no amount of force that can stop them from operating in the area and other parts of the state.

According to the bandits’ leader, even if he is killed, he has brainwashed his boys to continue the struggle.

The bandits also said that they are aware that the state government has vowed not to pay any ransom because it feared that such money will be used to purchase more weapons, insisting that whether the government pays ransom or not they have money to acquire any weapon they want

Meanwhile the state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has again assured that the school children will regain their freedom in a matter of days.
