A former presidential candidate on the platform of the Democratic People’s Party (DPP) in the 2019 general election, Ambassador Felix Johnson Osakwe, has said that for Nigeria to experience national development and achieve social and economic prosperity, there’s need to build a culture of responsible leadership which is practically lacking in recent administrations in the country.

Osakwe said this during the convocation ceremony for ambassadors for peace and United Nations 2021 day for the eradication of poverty and induction of new ambassadors for peace.

Adding that the current realities in the country has set up new paradigms in the hearts of Nigerians, as leaders, experiences are supposed to teach us lessons and shape the way we respond to situations at a national, state, and local government level.

He noted that leadership is either created by a system and functions by the philosophical/ideological principles or directions as imbued meaning to inspire, infuse, and to imbue the minds of the youth with good principles in the system.

He said the basis for good leadership is the fundamental premise of good leadership that would lead to good governance, rest upon the moral character, ethical values embedded in the leader’s vision, articulation, and program which followers either embrace or reject.

He therefore said that Nigeria is endowed with extraordinary minds and talents, richly blessed with abundant mineral resources and overflowing with vast potentials, adding that without the Purposeful direction of firm leadership, her vast potentials will remain largely untapped, her many gifts unexplored and her beauty remains unapprised by the world.

In the same vein, Amb Nefo Esimai, who describe poverty as thing that does not have substance that poverty mean absence of wealth that is, if a person do qnot have money, once he is provided an open mind, or have an innate wealth capability and begin to create an avenue or environment where he can be able to explore, poverty will disappear the same way darkness disappear where there’s light.

Also, Ambassador Chinoye Onodele said she is excited because they all have be working in different capacities and you can only get to that position when you must have impacted lives as much as possible, adding that her excitement is that she was able to get to that level where she has impacted a soul.
