He gave the advice in an interview on the sideline of  Retirement Sendforth and Awards ceremony organised by the board on Friday in Abuja.

According to him, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) play pivotal role in driving the Rrenewed Hope Zgenda geared toward delivering a prosperous nation for all.

He urged workers to ensure improved productivity by accomplishing tasks within stipulated period as well shun truancy and indiscipline.

“Everyone must support the Federal Government by improving on our work and change attitude to work in all offices.

“Punctuality and timely completion of tasks must be encouraged, this will bring the desired turnaround we all want,” he said.

Thomas said the event was to celebrate a retired Assistant Director, Mr Daniel Otegbeye and others, and to honour outstanding staff  of the year, to inspire workforce for renewed commitment to duty in the coming year.

The NFVCB helmsman extolled the dedication and prudence of the retiring officer while bidding him farewell , and urged others to emulate his virtues.

“He is one of the best officers we have here, and these are civil servants we need  to encourage so that others can emulate their dedication.

“Till this moment, I still seek advice from him, and I wish him well as he retires from public service,” he said.

In his remark, Otegbeye expressed appreciation to the  management and staff of the board for the honour given to him.

“I thank God for this beautiful occasion and I appreciate the Executive Director for organising this type of sendforth and for appreciating my little contribution to the board.

“I therefore advise those still in service to be committed to their jobs so that at the end of the day  they will be happy that they worked with the board,” he said.

Also, Mrs  Gloria Odebode, who won the Most Punctual and Reliable Staff of the Year award , appreciated management for the recognition.

“I feel very happy today and want to thank the Executive Director and my direct boss, the Director of the Service Innovation Department, as I promise to remain committed to my work,” she said.(NAN)

International Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage, has unveiled the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation to support young African creatives across multiple areas of the music industry through structured professional training.

The foundation seeks to expand access to training and learning for producers, songwriters, sound engineers and other professionals.

The award-winning singer disclosed the initiative on Wednesday via her verified Instagram page, with a photo of herself surrounded by musical instruments.

Savage described the project as a step toward investing in homegrown creativity and building sustainable opportunities for young artistes.

She said the global rise of Afrobeats highlights the need to build strong creative ecosystems that go beyond performers alone.

“An industry cannot thrive on artists alone,” she said, noting that global success depends on producers, engineers, lawyers, publishers and innovators working within organised systems.

She warned that failing to invest in these roles could weaken the long-term sustainability of Africa’s fast-growing music industry.

Savage said her experience studying at Berklee College of Music in the mid-2000s shaped her understanding of education, access and the business structure of music.

She explained that exposure to global systems helped her appreciate ownership, organisation and professional discipline within the industry.

According to her, the foundation aims to provide similar opportunities to young Africans who lack access to world-class music education.

“Talent exists everywhere, but access does not,” she said, adding that Artificial Intelligence is already transforming music production and distribution.

She said structured learning was increasingly urgent for African creatives seeking sustainable and competitive careers in the global music industry.
