The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), official Attah Aku, a Chief Supreintendant (CSP), that was shot during kidnapping incidence in Pegi, Abuja, on the October 7, 2019, has died.
Attah died in Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, on Sunday, as a result of complications from the gun shot wound he sustained during the kidnapping incidence.
Attah was 44 years old and survived by his wife, aged parents and two children.
The Chairman, Pegi Community Development Association(PECDA), Taiwo Aderibigbe, while confirming the death of NSCDC officer, said, “It was a big loss to the community and the nation as a whole. I pray the soul of CSP Attah rest in peace ,Amen. And I pray the Lord God to console his wife, children and the entire family, he told DAILY ASSET.
He lamented the state of insecurity in Kuje and urged the government to do take urgent steps to stem the tide.
It would be recalled that Nine persons, including a 12-year-old boy were abducted in Pegi community, a resettlement area in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The victims were kidnapped around 8:00PM on the October 7, by gunmen who dressed in military camouflage.
The gunmen shot at two vehicles, including one NISSAN Frontier and Toyota Solara.
All the victims of the kidnapped incidence have been released by the kidnappers after collecting various sums in ransome.
