Air Task Force Kills Boko Haram Terrorists in Dapchi

he Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, has killed unknown number of Boko Haram terrorists fighters on the outskirts of Dapchi, a town in Yobe state, according to the Defence Headquarters. 

The operation which occurred  on May 18, also saw the destruction of two of the terrorists’ gun trucks in the area.


The Coordinator Defence Media Operations, DHQ, Major General John Enenche in a statement on Tuesday said the air operation was conducted following reports that BHT and ISWAP terrorists, in about five vehicles, had launched an attack on the Town.


He said a helicopter Gunship was  scrambled to engage the terrorists and scored direct hits on their vehicles and killed the occupants.
“The Chief of the Air Staff commends the Air Task Force for their professionalism and directs them to remain resolute towards eradicating the terrorists from the North East,” the statement said.
