Face Mask Hawking Turns Brisk Business in Aba

Despite how negative a situation may seem, there is always some positive end.

This situation aptly captures some residents of Aba, one of the commercial hubs of the country who have coverted the Coronavirus pandemic lock down to money making opportunities.

At strategic locations of the town, some residents were seen hawking face masks.

The Abia State Government had directed that residents who have any essential reason to leave their house should wear their face masks.

The locations where these masks are hawked are bank locations, where the streets are almost deserted.

The prices of the masksrange from N100, N150 to N200, considering the quality of material with which the mask was made.

Mrs. Amaka Use,a seamstress, who spoke to DAILY ASSET revealed that the opportunity has improved her economic fortune as she sells on the average over 50 face masks a day at the rate of N100 a unit.

According to her, retailers who patronised her sold to final users at the price of between N150 and N200.
