Niger Awards Reconstruction of Suleja Township Roads at N4bn


Worried by the  deplorable conditions  of roads in the gateway city of Suleja  Niger state government has approved contracts for the rehabilitation of Kwanba, Suleja – Maje road at the sum of N418,535,240:70k.


Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Mohammad Sani Idris stated this in a post  state executive  council meeting  press briefing  at government house in Minna.


He said the the people of that community including motorists has suffered untold hardship on that particular route for a very long time hence the need for a listening APC government led by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to come to their aide.


Aliyu further announced the approval for the re- award of a 10kilometer Tagwai road leading  to the source of the major water supply  Dan to Minna  metropolis at the sum of N678,178,620:00k.


He said that the two contracts were approved under the rehabilitation projects of township roads in Niger state.


The commissioner noted the re award of Tagwai road was necessitated sequel to the revocation of the earlier 2016 contract in which the contractor only executed 49% of the work abandoning the site for years.
