Popular Nigerian businessman, Olakunle Churchill, has expressed shock at some people’s “obsession to spread bad news”.

In a recent Instagram post, Churchill wondered why people often remain silent when they hear positive news about others but are quick to spread negativity.

The businessman said the rumour peddlers go as far as “making things up when they hear nothing about you”.

The entrepreneur said although he cannot control people’s opinions about him, he concluded that “the same mouth that bites you will celebrate you”.

“When people hear good things about you, they stay silent. When they hear bad things about you, they spread it like wildfire.

When they hear nothing about you, they make things up,” he wrote.

“However, it is important to remember that you cannot control what others say or how they perceive you.

“Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself, and concentrate on the journey, the same mouth that bites you will celebrate you.”

Churchill’s post comes a few days after a blogger claimed there are cracks in his marriage to Rosy Meurer.

The businessman confirmed his marriage to Rosy, his former personal assistant, in February 2021.

The couple have a child together.

In December 2022, Churchill took to social media to celebrate Rosy on the occasion of their third wedding anniversary.

He appreciated Rosy for loving him “against all odds”.

He added that she made his life “thrilling, dazzling and youthful” while reiterating his love for her

Liverpool clinched the Premier League title in style as they came from behind to thrash Tottenham 5-1 at Anfield.

First-half strikes from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo all but wrapped up a record-equalling 20th top-flight title.

This was before Mohammed Salah’s 28th goal of a prolific campaign and a Destiny Udogie own goal made the scoreline emphatic.

Spurs briefly threatened to spoil a party that began hours before kick-off by taking an early lead through former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke but the Londoners put up little resistance as the Reds clicked into gear.

The title, secured with four games to spare, is only the Merseysiders’ second in 35 years.

It is also the first in that period they have been permitted to celebrate in front of fans after their 2020 success came during the COVID-19 pandemic
