In a statement released on August 6, 2026, Paul Okoye AKA Rudeboy, reacted to the ongoing issues with his twin brother, Peter Okoye AKA Mr P, who is at loggerheads with Rudeboy and Jude.

Rudeboy acknowledged the public interest in the dispute but insisted that family matters are best handled with “dignity, respect, and responsibility.

The decade-long dispute between the iconic African pop music duo P-Sqaure, comprising Peter Okoye and his twin brother Paul Okoye, and their older brother and former manager Jude Okoye escalated in July 2026.

The latest escalation started on social media when Peter Okoye AKA Mr P, made a statement about not caring if his kids are unable to speak their native Igbo language. Amid the wave of criticism that followed, Paul Okoye AKA Rudeboy, shared a music video with a caption celebrating his Igbo heritage, which many considered a blatant dig at his twin brothers.

The clip would force Mr P to come out publicly with a detailed breakdown of his rift with his twin brother, Rudeboy, and his older brother, Jude. In a series of videos shared on his Instagram account, Mr P went into a detailed breakdown of how his brothers allegedly frustrated him out of P-Square, bullied him, oppressed him and his family, and stole millions of dollars from him and P-Square.

Mr P’s ongoing revelations, which he has shared in a video series that is currently on part 7, have sparked massive public interest, which has forced Rudeboy to release a statement and Jude to make a video explaining his side.

The issues between the brothers have also resulted in a series of litigation, including an EFCC case against Jude and court proceedings against Mr P instituted by Jude.
