The Adamawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has disassociated itself from the actions of Senator Ishaku Aboh in aledgedly molesting a woman .
Addressing a press conference Thursday, the state Chairman, Barrister Attahiru Shehu said the party in the state categorically disassociate and distance itself from the embattled Senator, describing his actions as irksome over reactiveness to a misunderstanding that ought to be normally resolved without violence.
” we cannot fathom any acceptable reason for the action of Senator Aboh, we therefore condemn and distance ourselves from his unruly behaviour “.
Definitely , he has overshot his boundary, but we are pleading for understanding.
Tahir added that while condemning the senator, the party noted the fact that every human being has propensity to err and that only.the devine can forgive. And urge the lady in the saga and the women folk generally to accept the unreserved apology of the Senator.
He stated that he was sure, senator Ishaku Aboh has learnt his lessons the hard way and called on Nigerians to give him a second chance, as “” we believe that he will come out of the present predicament strong, dynamic and with a resolve that the incident will not repeat itself.””.
Barr. Shehu said the state chapter of the party was aware that the senate has constituted a panel to investigate the circumstances of the incidence.
“we support in totality the actions of the senate, however we wish to call on the panel to show magnimity and tamper justice with mercy””.
Adding that the incident should not be used as vendetta against the senator as being clamoured by some interest groups..
