Abia State government has said it will roll out more palliative measures to cushion the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic on its citizens.
It will be recalled the state recently distributed its first palliative measures through churches.
The state government explained that the next batch of palliative measures will reach out to the vulnerable groups through churches and other channels such as the local government councils, traditional institutions, town unions, and women groups.
“Government assures Abians that our front line service providers and medical experts are dealing with the current index cases in Abia and our Medical Protocol are already carrying out contact tracing of all who came in contact with the index patients
“As a matter of duty, Abians are advised to continue to obey and comply with its directive on lockdown in order to forestall spread of the index case in the State”
