Gbajabiamila Appoints Media Aides

The Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila yesterday announced the appointment of Olarewaju Lasisi of Channels Television as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

The announcement of Lasisi’s appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Speaker himself and made available to newsmen in Abuja.

Also Musa Abdulahi Krishi of Daily Trust Newspaper was yesterday named the Chief Press Secretary, view while Dele Anofi of The Nation Newspaper was appointed Special Assistant on Print Media. Before his appointment, Anofi was the Secretary of the House of Representatives Press Corps.

“I am very pleased to inform the general public of the appointment of the following members of my Media team. The appointments take immediate effect.

“Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Olarewaju Lasisi. Until his appointment, Olarewaju Lasisi, 46 was the parliamentary correspondent of Channels Television with over 10 years experience reporting activities of the House of Representatives. He was also the producer and presenter of a weekly television programme, ‘The Gavel,’ which focuses on the Nigerian Parliament.”Lasisi holds a Master’s Degree in Performing Arts from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He has participated in Media exchange programes both in Nigeria and the United States of America.

“The Chief Press Secretary Musa Abdulahi Krishi, 33, until his appointment was Daily Trust Newspaper’s correspondent in the National Assembly with six years experience reporting activities of the House of Representatives and Senate. He was Assistant Politics Editor between 2014 and 2015. He joined Daily Trust in 2012 as part of the paper’s policy of automatic employment for best graduating students of Mass Comm. Krishi hails from Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
